Whakarongo School is a growing, dynamic and future focused full primary school (approximately 500 students from Year 1-8), situated on the edge of Palmerston North, New Zealand in a quiet rural setting amongst trees and landscaped grounds.
Everything at our school is about the "Whakarongo Kid." The Whakarongo Kid encapsulates our vision for our students and consists of four dimensions: Navigator, Innovator, Connector and Collaborator. Each student's aim is to be the best "Whakarongo Kid" possible.
Whakarongo School is a leading school in using collaborative teaching within flexible learning environments. Our school is divided into PODs and teachers work as small teams in each POD. We have found this to be very effective in the teaching and learning process. (read more)
