Our PTA



Welcome to the Whakarongo School PTA Page. We aim to support the school through a variety of fundraising and exciting events for our students.




Meetings:

We currently meet on the first Wednesday of each month in the Whakarongo School Staffroom at 7pm (though this can be subject to change to allow for school holidays - check the school newsletter for next dates).  All school teachers, parents and caregivers are welcome to come along to any of the meetings.  We have a staff representative and board of trustees representative at each meeting also.
Communications:

In the school office there is PTA communications box. Please feel free to post any ideas, comments or questions that you might have that are relevant to the PTA. We represent the schools' whanau and staff, and invite any and all feedback. We will try to help or pass it on to the appropriate people at school. If you would rather talk to someone in person, you are welcome to contact any member of the PTA or ring the Chairperson.


Events:

As events are organised, we will post information here and also place it in the school newsletter.


Fundraising:

Like most PTAs, our core function is fundraising for the 'extras' that we would like to see our children benefit from while at Whakarongo School.

We have a well organised annual fundraising plan that includes our regular events but allows for flexibility if other opportunities arise.

We like to spread the responsibility for organising these fundraisers around and if you would ever like to be involved in a particular fundraiser, whether you come to meetings or not, please do make contact and let us know.
